    Sorry to slighty move OT, but Im currently building a WAD 300B PP clone (the one with the line transformers, see pic). I was going to use BG's but note the detractors above, what would you recommend as alternatives?? And, what resistors are recommended?

    For HT PSU, Panasonic THSA are pretty good. Aternatively , if you have the space, polypropylene motor-run caps are very good.

    resistors .......vishay bulk foils [if you can afford them] run of the mill dale/vishay rn types are nice.....but welwyn and holco's are a bit cold.

    I've never had any problem with black gates in WAD circuits (in the right places of course). Aside from the price.

    I am using motor-run polyprops (LCR). I might try BG's as others seem to have had success.

    Pete, do you still have plenty of resistors??

    Several thousand .....but not big power resistors just the .25 - .5 watt types.

    mostly dale vishay and holco.
