Paul Hester (crowded house) dead

Oh No,
I was just listening to the "Best of Crowded House" last night while having a BBQ and that's a real shock.
As a Melbourne boy, I remember watching there first TV appearances etc, and you knew they were going to be big right from the start.
The sadest thing is, the BBC has gotten his bloody name wrong it's Paul (not Peter) Hester....he actually would have laughed about the BBC getting his name wrong I think! He had a wicked sense of humour.
That's kinda wrecked my day now....

You're right about that name thing... there was me believing the beeb.
Feeling really shitty now the more I read.
He hanged himself in Elsternwick Park, Melbourne. I used to live right near there so know that park. Oh bugger!
Time to fire up the Crowded House CD's. Their stuff really has aged well and I recommend anyone to revisit their back catalogue. More so than any Aussie band, Crowded House were the "Aussie U2".
