    Hi -

Anyone know where I can get a pair of foam plugs for ports, 2 1/2" diameter? I don't want a huge amount of attenuation, maybe 3 dB.

I know the solutions like drinking straws, socks, etc. but I'd like to get the proper thing to try. TIA.

Send an email to the manufacturer of your speakers?

Or if the speakers are DIY, just try various manufacturers (e.g. B&W, KEF, Tannoy, Wharfedale, Monitor Audio - all of these ship speakers with bungs so may be willing to help you).

Yes, I thought of those things, but it would be easier if I could simply order from a speaker builder. Trouble is, neither Falcon nor Wilmslow have them on their on-line stock-lists.

Would a foam water filter for a pond pump do the job. There's a shop down the road that has round ones in the window. Might be too open cell for your purposes but I'm sure you could get a large one and sqeeze it into the port.

Hmmm that's an interesting suggestion -- I'll have a look in the local pet shop!
