post deletion>?

I closed the thread because, frankly, I'm not thrilled with the idea of paying for a forum to allow people to push ill-informed anti-UN propaganda. Every reply to that thread brought the quote (and link) from that objectionable blog to the top of the thread lists, spreading the misinformation it's spouting to an ever increasing audience.

I deleted your post (and, incidentally, my original reply to it) because it was just a rant at me and brought nothing new to the discussion. It was also incorrect. You said I was comparing the Holocaust to the Asian tsunami which I was not. I was comparing the claims that the UN is doing nothing for the tsunami victims to the claims by some people that the Holocaust never happened.

Michael.

Thank you for the reply Michael.
I understand your feeling about the original thread topic.
But i still feel it is not right to use the holocaust as an example. As you say you have had enough of the discussion i wont go into an explaination about my feelings here, i hope you understand my feelings tho.

It's so fashionable at the moment to biff Uncle Sam, even when he is doing most of all. It says a lot about their PR problem.
Yes, but it's also fashionable in the dimmer recesses of the American mind to blame all the world's problems on the UN.
