I should really get a decent power cable for my new amp - any recommendations please £50 or less.

Not bothered by fancy names or anything - I just want the best quality for my money.

I have been recommended JAS Audio (chinese brand). They do a £49 cable which is meant to be twice as good as others at the price.

Also thinking Krystal-Kables.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

you could do a lot worse that one of Zanash's home made affairs...

try and find a second hand musicworks one. There's two for sale over on PFM at £30 a pop.

Hi, thanks for the recommendation. Who are PFM? Have you compared the musicworks cables to others?

www.pinkfishmedia.net it's a forum like this one.

I think the chap you're looking for is called Paul_g, there's a thread in the hifi room called maplins multiway plug or something similair and he mentioned them there. Alternatively do a search for Musicworks there.

I've had one or two cables, but in conjunction with their mains block I've never heard anything as convincing. It's what I use, it tightened up the timing, and cleared a whole load of treble haze. It's been well worth while on my system
