Hi,

I am selling my Presonus Firebox firewire audio interface, which is a superb high quality piece of audio kit. It is about 6 months old.

The reason is just because it doesn't like a certain piece of software on my laptop, but it has worked with everything else 100% perfectly.

All the specs and details can be found here - http://www.presonus.com/products/Detail.aspx?ProductId=4

As a quick summery though, it has:

6 analog outputs
1 coaxial digital output
4 analog inputs (2 of which have phantom powered mic pre-amps)
1 coaxial digital input
1 headphone output (very powerful!)

It is a very high quality audio device which is as good as many DACs and CD players.

I have also actually modified this interface slightly. I have added an improved digital output which is transformer isolated. This means that there is no physical electrical connection between your PC and any DAC you might connect it to, and no ground loops can occur. You can see the new output on the photo of the back, the big gold RCA socket.

One of the things to look out for on audio interfaces is the dynamic range of the ADC and DAC stages. The lesser units, although boasting 24-bit capability will only have about 96dB dynamic range, which makes 24-bit completely pointless. This one has a DAC dynamic range of 110dB, and ADC range of 112dB while the pre-amps themselfs for the mic inputs have >125dB range, which is superb.

It comes with:

Original packaging
Manuals
Drivers and a licensed copy of Cubase LE which is a powerful studio software
External PSU (can run from firewire though)
Cables

Laptop not included ;)

It is £200 new, I would like £110 for it.
