    Hello everybody,

quick Q. Been offered a 2nd hand D30.2 MkII, 3 yr old, mint condition for 800 squid. Would it be a worthy upgrade to my Marantz transport/Tag DAC combo? (I'm not able to demo it). Reviews are very favourable but I've never paid too much attention to those.

If I buy it - How much would a mint Tag DAC go for these days? Any takers? :D

Not sure about how it would compare to your old CD/DAC but I am happy with my D30.2

I reckon 800 quid's a bit rich for a 3 year old one though. I got mine virtually new (ex-demo) for 1000 quid and I know someone else who only paid 750 quid ex-demo with full warranty. That MkII model has been (or is about to be) supersceded by a new model but there are only cosmetic changes (internals are the same) I am led to believe. Talk them down my man!

Yeah.. I agree, and for an extra couple of hundred I could find an ex-dem with full warranty (I think 750 ex-dem is a pretty good find!!). But unfortuntely D30.2s don't come up very often. I'll see if I can haggle them down to 600..
