    ProAc are showing their top of the range stand mount loudspeaker, the Response D2, which retails for 1880 pounds in four standard veneer finishes of cherry, black ash, mahogany and maple. Ebony and rosewood are available at extra cost.

    The D2 cabinet is manufactured from a heavily damped thin-wall birch ply carcass with a thicker rear baffle. The bass driver cone, housed in ProAc's 165mm diameter basket, features the same glass fibre weave technology used in ProAc's incredibly successful Response D18 floorstander, producing a punchy, deep, tight bass. For smooth, extended high frequencies, a silk dome air-cooled tweeter is incorporated and mated to the bass driver via a high quality crossover network. The seamless integration of these drivers highlight ProAc's trademark attributes of pinpoint imagery and open midrange.

    The Response D2 is designed for the finest quality music reproduction giving true monitor performance when partnered with high quality electronics. They will be demonstrated sited on Atacama's high mass HMS 2.1 loudspeaker stands, the ideal partner. We look forward to seeing you in Room 216.
