proac speakers

hi, a colleagues buying a new system which will be based on the cyrus 6 (?) amp, and he fancies a pair of proac (600 quid) floorstanders, tho, not sure of the model...are these any good..? what else would you recommend..?

just an update here, amp and cd player are from cyrus 8 range...so, speakers, will they match..?

also, what about speaker cables and interconnects..?

Do Pro-Ac do a floorstander at £600? I thought their cheapest was the studio 125 at £1k?

Presumeably your mate will be demoing the speakers in his room with his system, but if he wasn't planning too he definitely should with Pro-Acs. In my limited experience I find that their bass is very full sounding, and in many rooms there seems to be an obvious bass peak that might not be to everyone's tastes.
