    Hi
I have acquired a Power-one HB5-3/OVP-A power supply to use with my Sqeezebox. It is currently configured for US voltage and I obviously need to reconfigure for UK use. However I'm a dunce and need some help.

The info on the case says that for 230 vac:
    Jumper - 2 & 3
    Apply AC - 4 & 1.

The input terminals are numbered :

    5 1 3 2 4 (in that order).

Therre are currently jumpers between 2 & 4 and between 1 & 3 (which is consistent with what it says for 120vac config). There is also a flatish circular component (told you I was a dunce) across 3 & 2.

Changing the jumpers seems straightforward but I have some questions:
    1. Does it matter whether I apply live or neutral AC to 4 or 1 ?
    2. Do I leave the circular component where it is?
    3. Which terminal do I attach the earth to ?

Any kind soul out there who can advise me?

    Rgds

A pic of the thing would speak volumes !

the circular jobbie is likely to be a 22nf cap [?] or similar

I'll email you some pics, can't post them here because of the 100kb limit on jpgs.
    Cheers

This is a pic of the input terminals. In this view the teminals are numbered left to right, 4 2 3 1 5.

Can anybody shed any light on my queries?

    Cheers

As I said ...I can see where the in coming ac is attached pins 1 and 4 with a jumper on 2 and 3.....my reasearch suggested that the earth is attached to the chasis of the unit [in fact ive a farnell psu that does the same] as to the cap I think it goes from l to neutral.

can anyone more knowlegable give a more definative answer ??
