My lovely 405 that has been doing sterling service in the second system and gives me relief from watching TV has decided to blow its fuses on one side. I would pension it off but over the last 18 months I have fitted a new transformer from Quad (Ouch! it was expensive) and new power supply capacitors. I believe that it is probably the output transistors that have gone to silicon in the sky.
The thing is does anyone have a 405 with power supply problems and wishing to sell or anyone rebuilding a 405 and looking for good parts?
