QUAD Amp Question

I realise that the QUAD 34 Pre Amp was the original matching Pre for the QUAD 306 Power Amp, but I have a chance to purchase a QUAD 66 Pre Amp with QUAD Telepilot remote.

Will the 66 work OK with the 306?

The 66 pre is a good unit but not great.....nice chunky handset though. I had one for many years but the 77 was a sep forward in performance. It may be worth checking to see if the 66 use muting transistors, there elimination may be rewarded with a huge step forward in sound quality.
