Hi, can some one please tell me how to disassemble the Quad ELS989 I have slid the top piece of wood off and that's it. One speaker emits a 'click' sound when working and it seems to come from all over the area not any particular part. Does not seem to particularly frequency conscious and happens at quite low sound levels. Have worked on the 57 which is easy to get apart. Thanks!

Unless you're extremely brave, I don't suggest you try and work on the Quad ESL989. The ones I tried to open were not designed to be opened nor are there many components internally that you can work on. The input circuit board should be accessible from the bottom.
