I've only had these a couple of weeks but its clear they are just not quite the thing for me.

Fantastic presence and gorgeousness in any small scale music - solo vocal, guitar, piano, chamber, pop... but not really suitable for my tastes in heavy orchestral classical and heavy rock.... I really should have listened to the advice I was given but as a former Electrostatic owner (988s) I jumped at the chance to get them too quickly.

These have only just been refurbished by One Thing Audio - brand new Treble panels. Bass panels serviced and new dust covers. Heavy duty clamp boards, rebuilt transformers, new IEC mains and modern speaker cable plugs.
    Lots of info at

In the hope of a quick sale I am offering them at a fair bit less than I paid for them.. £1150 collected or half-way meet within 150 miles of Edinburgh. I do have fairly robust boxes for them but would rather not entrust to a courier and would only do so if the purchaser arranges collection.

This a superb chance to obtain a pair of fully working refurbed legends out-of-the-box and not have to send them away to get work done - its all been done for you.

    the widgets

    Hi,

I'm very interested in the pair of One Thing widgets you offer. I'm up in Moray. Does your £60 price include P&P ? I hope the ESLs sell, I've four of the beasts already but don't have room/need for more. The widget (and One Thing website you've linked to) looks excellent. Well done for pointing to a super website.

    Many thanks,

    Slainte Mhath!
