Hi folks,

I've got an Excellent pair of Quad ESL 63's for sale.

Quick speel for anyone who isn't familiar with these:

These are the earlier version of the current ESL988, they have beautiful electrostatic transparency & imaging, the great Quad sound. Not only do these excel with vocals and strings, which i expected, but i was pleasantly suprised to find they are also great with rock, modern ambient & even hip-hopââ'¬Â¦.. Although very transparent they will bring out the depth & imaging in even the worst recordings when suitably partnered. They seem to like about a metre or so behind them to breathe.

These are the later model finished with black socks & were reputedly refurbished at factory 2-3 years ago by their previous extremely wealthy owner, absolutely no known faults & excellent cosmetic appearance, consecutive serial nos #26193 & #26194.

Supplied with original Quad "Stand & Deliver" stands, which i believe are quite rare, & complete with the original factory packaging.

Only for sale due to the arrival of ESL 989's.

Packaged they are roughly 102 x 33 x 80 cm and 24Kg each, the stands weigh 5kg together and would fit in a box 60 x 30 x35 cm.

I would strongly recommend personal collection or a specialist courier & insurance due to the fragility of electrostatic speakers.

Looking for £995.

Happy to demo in Edinburgh, please feel free to get in touch anytime if you wish to discuss, you're probably better using the mobile number really.

Hi Mark,

I hope 989's made the trip back safely in your father's camper van and that you're thoroughly enjoying them now. :)

I've just left you some positive feedback on our buyer/seller rating system as you were a buyer for one of the ads posted on this forum, even though the transaction happened some time ago to help you along your way with the sale of the 63's. All the best with your sale.

Cheers,
Henry.
