Welborne battery Pre amp - great £450 . 2x ecc86 valves....very clean and musical...beat many pre amps I auditioned. 2 x volume knobs, for gain either side. comes with about 6 amperex 2x mullard and 2 x telefunken and battery charger. its the ultrapath battery powered pre and was assembled by ron welborne, with various upgraded parts and silver internal wiring when purchased. this was the top option package.

Welborne battery Pre amp

Im interested in the Welborne battery Pre I can only see 2 of the pictures the others wont upload (dam computer lol) how many inputs does this have are they all single ended RCA?

Also where are you based.

welborne has 3 inputs and theyre all rca - yes...im in west mids (wolverhampton) 13 miles from Bham....ill try to add more pics...thanks for letting me know
 
Hi Nash Wadia is in very good condition and is in very good condition..Never had any issue with it playing cdr cdrw or cds at all....faultless performer....Id be looking for around the price, but should you wish to make an offer by pm, thats probably the best bet..
 
Fb1s, Quad tuner sold - avi not sure im selling for deifinate - waiting to compare to the belles ocm 500 that tony is repairing - but only need as a back up amp if the tubes fail in my croft power amp....it may come down to which sells for the most, which would be the ocm as its class a .. cheers banpe
 
Hi, the Wadia went, sold it for about £900. Still miss it, it was very good. Im using a revox b226, very good cd player - not as "ballsy" as the wad, but more natural and lovely to look at in 70s silver...theres one around for £250 somewhere. The welborne, I am listening to as I type....wont be selling. Bought a cracking little pre amp called "tusk" great phonostage also. Kept the avi monos and sold the croft gear. Tried the avi v2 power and whilst it was more natural sounding, didnt have the "soul" of the monoblocks, so I kept the monos - the wadia, welborne, avis and wilson benesch arcs were a cracking combo. still miss the punch and emotion they could drum up... If youre around my way bottleneck, you can have a listen to the pre - I asked ron welborne if he could add a phono stage, he said there wasnt the room. .
