R.E.M. "Around the sun"

I've played this twice now, and each time it's completely failed to get my attention at all. I imagine it'll get played occasionaly, but really doesn't seem much going on.

Shame

Just about every song was the same, with very little of it meMOrable when the album finished.

Perhaps it's a grower........ I have my doubts though.

I'm enjoying it, but I'd agree that it takes a few times to really get into it. The one criticism levelled at it by much of the press is that it never leaves the mid-tempo ballad, and there I would agree. What most of the papers failed to mention is that this is what REM do best these days.
