    Hello all.
I usually listen to music through a NAD c368 dac with a Bluos module streaming music from Tidal.
I notice a big quality difference listening to music with bluos module versus the low end Technics 5 disc CD player I currently am using. .
I am looking for quality CD player under $500.00.
In this price range what would be a good CD player to look into?
Is there a quality sounding player for under 500.00?
    Thanks

    IIRC

It depends how you define quality, as to some this comes at 5000.00 rather than 500.00.

Nevertheless the best player I dig for that sort of money, or less, would be a Rotel 965bx. It gives a good punchy and detailed sound.

    Great with most music.

The Rotel 965 is nearly 30 years old. There's plenty out there which will totally destroy the Rotel these days (which was excellent in its day, it has to be said). Have you considered using the NAD as the DAC, and buying something like the Audiolab 6000CDT or Cambridge Audio CXC (CD Transports), and using a decent co-ax digital cable?
