I have owned the legendary Reimyo CDP-777 from new (purchased in 2005 from Audiofreaks) and no other single-box CD player aroud the £10K price mark has come close to altering my view that it fully justifies the many accolades it has received worldwide for it's astonishing musical performance.

Rarely available to buy, this 'Red Book' CD player/transport provides ultra high-resolution wide-spectrum CD sound at an unbelievably high-purity S/N ratio (117 db). 176.4kHz 24bit 4 times oversampling delivers a stunning, super high-purity 705.6kHz! You won't believe your ears. Incorporates Japan Victor's revolutionary Extended K2 Processing (Version 2.0) and super high-accuracy transport mechanism. Has both analog and digital outputs.

For ultimate flexibility, the Reimyo can be used as a transport only and the output connected via an external sync.input (BNC pin) to the DAC of your choice.

The result of a collaborative project between Japan Victor, Combak Corporation (renowned for it's range of Harmonix audio tuning products) and Kyodo Denshi, most of the parts including the power transformer were designed specifically for this unit.

Complete with original box, instruction manual and remote controller, the build quality has to be seen to be believed!

I would not neccesarily agree. Everyting sells. Some just takes longer than others. So far this year I have sold on a line stage, speakers, a turntable and arm, moving coil cartridge, mains cables, a phono stage and mains distribution totalling £11,000 which I have put towards the purchase of new replacement components.

Granted, the speakers took me 15 months to sell from first advertising and the line stage about 5 months, but everything else moved very quickly.

There are still a lot of people, myself included, who are still buying. My personal circumstances have been unaffected by the 'Recession'.

This will be the third month that I have had my Reimyo CD player for sale and I dare say that once summer holidays are over, there will be some interest, somewhere, by somebody.
