Replacement for Sony STR-AV900

I am a retired surgeon and need to replace my receiver, Sony STR-AV900. I do not understand the specs and need some help. Someone knowledgeable please take 2 mins and recommend a similar unit, from any company, that they trust. Thanks to all and if you need any lower extremity medical advice I will return the favor!

hi Gary its been a while since you upgraded and alot as changed can you tell me your setup and music you listen to and what kind of budjet.Once you replace one item you tend to replace another.
