Robyn Hitchcock (& The Venus 3)

There was a thread on here a bit ago (I think started by Uncle Ants) about some RH gigs featuring Peter Buck and others and seeking recommendations. Didn't catch any of the gigs but there's a recent CD under the above name, called Ole Tarantula, which is excellent and sounds like the kind of thing they were described as playing on the tour. A number of my friends previously resistant to Hitchcock have said things like 'that's really good, who is it?'.

yeah, I was into him back in the late 80's - heard him on john peel but haven't got much of his material tho...will have to check it out after the new year!
