This is by far not the first time a reviewer gets an interest in an audio manufacturer or vice versa. I've seen magazines like Hifi News handle this very well in the past.

As said, not the first time, but definitely the most blatant and perhaps even cynical one. What I would wish for now is that Mr.Gregory spends less time reviewing, so that we get to read less boring, tedious, and formulaic 'reviews' and less of his ego-growing (?) gratuitous kicking at those who do not take his prose for gospel (remember the VTA wars with TNT?). Mr.Gregory has created a new magazine with a nice smell and wonderful photography. For that I thank him. But that's about it.

yeah, maybe he could have just sat on the board and earned a wedge that way... :D

True to form Mr Bub

Seriously though, if he's not allowed to mention Nordost in his reviews, surely its business as usual. This won't affect my buying of Hifi Plush in any way, as I like the candy too much!.

But reviews are business, as usual... And it's probably the most efficient marketing tool too.

Reviewing software

I find his prose painful to read. The reviews all use exactly the same formula. Superlatives piled upon, one another. Signifying. Nothing. Fake scepticism. Followed by. Poor punctuation, and. Miraculous revelation. All coloured purple.

The whole thing as convincing as the American TV evangelist. It's gratifying to see any credibility completely gone now, with his move to the North East.

Here's the reviewers best friend (available in french only):

Example:

"Après avoir remarqué la qualité de fabrication de ce câble, il convient de reconnaitre que la globalité des sociétés concurrentes vont devoir mesurer leur retard. Le prix s'oublie ... mais la qualité reste. Fantastique !"

it's even more interesting if you run it through babelfish:

"After having noticed the quality of manufacture of this cable, it is advisable to recognize that the globality of the concurrent companies will have to measure their delay. The price s' forgetââ'¬Â¦ but quality remains. Fantastic!"

Parfait!

I see James Mc P is taking my name in vein again lol!
Still the same old forum hardened ex naime, atc loving bass lite 28 levels of angle iron gent as always.
However that being said underneath he is a quite a decent chap (really) please allow him his minor moments of mirth and attempted levity, its only fair given his previous afflictions.
Though it won't be long now before a Kondo-dois outbreak happens to you James

Nope - he is a knob.

A minor moment of mirth indeed - try to think up a new tune, if you can dear boy.
