I watched the "Brits" thing on TV, swiftly switching over to some thng esle as I didn't like Russells presentation style.

I've just read a that the show recieved many complaints due to jokes about the Queen, Robbie Williams, Saddam Hussein and David Cameron.

ITV have been quoedt saying , in reponse to those complaints "he was an edgy host for an edgy live event. It worked well"

It seems to me that TV program makers in general are competing with each other to things ever more sensational, (shall we say) provocative and occassionally offensive.......clearly ITV's intention.

At what point do we draw the line?

what do others think?

cheers,

David

I quite like RB, he often (not always) amuses me. Given the context of the show and his reputation, the results were no more and no less what one might expect. I didn't find anything he said offensive, but then I don't tend to find such things offensive so maybe I'm not best placed to judge.

I cannot stomache that man!

I do not turn him off, because I do not have him on in the first place!

yeah, I've never really heard much stuff by him because I always turn him off - but apart from him being famous - why would any woman throw themselves at him?

A friend has one of his 'stand up ' dvds and I watched some of it. The bloke is quite clever and funny but I got bored with it after a while, as I imagine will most.

It seems to be that this is a list of people who thoroughly deserve the piss being taken out of them, I certainly wasn't offended!

I thought RB was quite funny for the most part, although his delivery does get a bit 'samey' after you've seen him more than twice. I have to admit that I can't watch his MTV2 show too often (like more than twice a year). :)

On another note, I saw him on the Big Fat Quiz alongside Noel Keywood from the Mighty Boosh and they were F**king hilarious.
Was great to see David Walliams and Rob Bydon get beaten by a couple of goths(who weren't even trying). :MILD:
