You know I never found out why they can't clone him. Did you see Tuvok and Neelix become one (literally) in ST Voyager following a transporter malfunction? They get separated in the end, but surely the transporter can make them effectively immortal!

Yup, weird episode. The transporter accident created a Tunix or a Neelok or some such hybrid.
