    Congrats on the setup. :beer:

    I came to listen to the AR speakers, a beautiful restoration!

    ...but I was also drooling over that Marantz beast. A thing of beauty.

    They don't make 'em like that anymore.

    Oh sorry.....yes it's a bit quiet here :)

    Thanks for the kind comments.
    Lots of people really liked the sound and I think the key was to keep things simple with loudspeakers which aren't too challenging in terms of the room requirements.
    A few even said best sound at the show - perhaps they were being nice but I do think it did very nicely for coherence and PRaT compared to many of the much more extravagant setups.

    That Marantz is just a baby 25 watter but has considerable reserves. TBH it now shares duties with my normal Quad amplifier and tuner and gives nothing away other than the ability to play quite so loud. It's tuner is actually better than the FM4.
