Quote

Hi all ...

Just gained what seems to be an interesting amp ....JOHN SHEARNE PHASE 2 REFERENCE.
Haven't heard one...indeed..not heard any of his amps, but after reading reviews (mainly press) i couldn't resist.
If any have personal experience of knowledge of the amp would appreciate to hear your views.

Thanks :)

i worked with john, he was a rep also for max t. before he decided to go on his own nice amps we helped him a lot.
nando.

Spev...yes, many a bargain to be had at the moment, and more to come am sure, though the way it seems to be heading, think i'll stock up on fuel for the genny !

Nando, you helped him a lot, how so ?..... and do you know more of the De Paravicini connection that florette has mentioned ?

Thanks . :)

Does anyone know if the Phase 2 are dual voltage or were they made for a specific market and cant be changed.

Also can anyone recommend someone knowledgeable about John Shearne amplifiers who can repair or service them. Tried a few people but they did not fill me with confidence :(

Hi There I am seeking the answer on what transistors are used in the output stage as when I connected my speakers to the John Shearne phase2 whilst the unit was on, I think I blew caused a surge and....well now it doesn't work.
If anyone has info on the values of the transistors used I would be very grateful.
I did try to contact the company and recently sent a post John Shearne's Facebook but no response.
Any help out there?
