my sonic t amp is plugged into my Roland FP5 digital piano through it's line outputs.

When i play some of the higher notes really loudly then the sound cuts out all together.

Is this down to the PSU that i'm using? its a £10 Maplin unregulated wallwart jobby (selected to 12v ;) )

Thanks for any help

no ideas? bit disappointed ;)
incidentally, am running the Sonic T on some Acoustic Energy 301s now. The last remaining B stock specials. Not bad for £40 at all but need wall reinforcement. Very good for my piano though. And soooo tiny! Talk about SWMBO friendly

I have not received mine yet, but it does sound like something is running out of steam, I get the impression from the reivews that it doesn't like being ran of high volume lots of distorsion, again can't confirm until mine arrives. I've also been told it takes a couple of weeks to "burn in".

Sorry I can't be of more help, try PM'ing Zanash, he seems to have a lot of knowledge on these things. (and can probably supply you with a decent psu).

you have just over run the psu and put the amp into clipping.....the poor thing has only 6 usable watts uder the plastic case.

your probabley over driving the inputs to...............you need a line level source

just the same as if you were playing through any other amp.

See what I mean, nothing this guy doesn't know about these mini marvals things, I'm keeping an eye out for the disc, but the postman deleivers after I leave for work, so I'll have to wait till I get home. :(
