Anyone around south London on Sat the 23rd of August fancy getting together to listen to some tunes?

It struck me that there hasn't been a meet up in quite a while, so I thought I'd offer to host in south London (Sutton/Cheam area).

I'll have my SB+, Bel Canto digital amp running into horn loaded 3 way Impulse Ta'us speakers. Anyone who fancies bringing along say some valve amps or different sources would be more than welcome (any Linn DS owners here?).
I was thinking of kicking off on Sat morning around 10am, wrapping up around 6pm, i.e. before my son needs to go to bed.
As my place is far from huge, can't host most than probably 10, and all of those won't fit comfortably in the lounge at the same time, but hopefully the weather will be good, and we can also have a blather about music in the back garden.

Zanash will hopefully be along, so I'm guessing he'll probably bring along some of his cables if anyone fancies a listen.

Anyone interested?

I'd love to be involved if I lived a bit closer.

Maybe we can hook up a web-cam link and critique the hi-fi on offer over an ADSL connection? :-)

Seriously though, hope anyone who turns up has a good time. I'd love to host something similar if I had a bigger flat.

Have fun

Neil

I would love to come over and bring a few goodies but I'm in Crete. If you can make it another week I can come. (not a sales pitch)

I would like to attend. I'm new in London from Oz and have never attended any audio get togethers before. I unfortunately don't have a car to be available to bring any equipment but could bring some food.

Cheers
Alan

Hi Mike,

I'd love to, but can't make it. Regards to Ting!

As a result of the surprising lack of interest, guess we'll go to Hever castle for their jousting competition instead. Have fun all!

Martin, if you're in London sometime, give us a shout, be nice to say hi again.

It's holiday time Mike and I think people are either away or looking after the brats.

The idea of box and cable swapping might also put people off. Make it a social event and chance to hear some good music and I bet they'll be banging on your door :)

regards,

Yup, it was the idea of box swapping and critical listening that put me off, particularly as I'm not that critical a listener;).
