    Hello all,

Following replacement of the frequency filters, my speakers now have new binding posts (Furutech FT865, speakers are 47 labs, lens 4722) - my cables have just bare wire which worked well with the old connectors... not sure what gauge the cables are sorry, but they're kinda thick (thickest I ever owned anyway haha).

Would there be a noticeable performance difference with a Spade lug instead? I'm relatively new to hifi and am curious as to what opinions are out there...

Thanks for any help and advice!

    Hi there
I am always changing my systems around and while I used to methodically connect the appropriate plug to the lead and socket. I noticed if I just connected with bare wires there was no difference to the sound at all. But remeember to connect securely to avoid damage by shorting out!
