Are you into DIY ?

I've done some rather nice pure silver [4n] / ptfe biwireable.....if you build it, the cost would work out at about £25/m. Just question of cuting the wire and sleeve, then threading it. Then adding a simple twist and terminating. All parts and instructions included.

If you want to listen to some pm me.

According to a technical manager at VDC, Van Damme R-268-50x series are excellent. Used for monitoring in recording and broadcasting stations such as BBC, ITV and CNN and studios such as Abbey Road.

2 x 2.5, 4 or 6 mm2. Made from Ultra Pure Linear Crystal Oxygen Free Copper (UP LCOFC).

Buy direct from VDC over the counter at way way below retail prices.

268-502 Loudspeaker (directional hi-fi) 2x2.5mm2 (13.22 AWG, 1.783mm dia) £1.78 +VAT = £2.0915
268-504 Loudspeaker (directional hi-fi) 2x4.0mm2 (11.18 AWG, 2.258mm dia) £2.61 +VAT = £3.0668
268-506 Loudspeaker (directional hi-fi) 2x6.0mm2 ( 9.44 AWG, 2.762mm dia) £3.19 +VAT = £3.7483

Pro Audio market is quality and value concious and won't swallow hype and extortionate pricing policies you find in the hi-fi trade.

VDC is the UK Distributor of Van Damme. They supply RS Components, Farnell and others. If you buy direct you get the best deal.
VDC recently set up an online catalogue at http://www.vdctrading.com/default.asp
There is a minimum order value and if you want it delivered there are shipping charges.
