    I guess a lot of page 3 models are unbalanced and sound uncouth in real life, so you can get away with those. ;-)

    Those Kans actually sound quite refined as they come from that dark period in Linn's history when they employed some young Australian upstart to re-voice the classic Linn speakers - Sara 9, Kan 2 and Index 2 being the best known. It was done to make the range CD friendly as opposed to being voiced for the fruity Sondek with a Linn MC on board.

    I'm surprised by the lack of responses to this threads. I had expected quite a few large JBL, Westlake etc to name just 2. Perhaps you don't find speakers aesthetically pleasing?
