Speakers and a mac

[Lp12]

I have an imac,a Dac and an old Arcam amp but need to get some speakers preferably second hand off ebay up to about £100.
Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Are the speakers for your desk or for 'room filling' hi-fi?

Well they will not fit on my computer station so i will either have to have a pair wall mounted or i could make a shelf,not ideal i know but better than listening through the mac.

I'd suggest a pair of JBL Control 1s - they come with wall mounting brackets and are pretty good mini-monitors.

i highly recommend a pair of mission 70's, the new style black moulded ones. They make excellent near field monitors, are shielded and dont need a lot of power. They were a riot when i used them with my PC

they can also be wall mounted

Sell the amp and get a second hand pair of Alesis Monitor One Active MKII. Usually about £120 s/h and will beat the pants off much else you could get.

Having built in amps is neater, too.

Maybe a pair of Spirit Absolute 2 Actives
