Currently have a pair of wharfedale 7.1's on wall brackets in the kitchen, they are linked up to my system in the next room. However, am finding them unsatisfying to listen to (have a pair of rega elas, mk1 next door) and am looking for a reccomendation for a decent 2nd hand pair of bookshelf speakers.

Am currently using a rotel ra-04 amp.

    Any advice muchos appreciated...

What's the problem with the 7.1s - bass, mid or upper frequencies? Are the replacements going on the same brackets?

The replacements ideally would go on the same brackets.
As for the speakers themselves not sure what the problem is (the elas next door sound fab but we tend to listen a lot in the kitchen too, albeit at lower levels), maybe i'm after the impossible but wonder easily the warfedales could be improved upon?

Rega Kytes. Ideal. Lot less than £200 s/h as well.
