FS: Highly modified SqueezeBox: SqueezeBox Plus (SB+) digital (Patrick Dixon design)
I'm selling my Meridian digital system so I have for sale a DIGITAL SqueezeBox Plus two-box NMP, the classy Patrick Dixon redesign of the original SqueezeBox, using much better components to produce a classy, true audiophile device, including a proper PSU! Generally rated as better than the Transporter in the forums.
It's very elegant but hard to photo; natural wooden end-cheeks, smoked glass fascia, gloss black paint. Click thumbnails for the full images:

This is the digital-only version, so you can finally make the very best of your modern DAC by feeding it a clean signal. Iin excellent condition, with original remote, mains lead, digital lead. Wireless or Ethernet connection.
I've been told these are quite rare and much sought after. Open to offers over £200 - £300 will secure it.
I'd also part-ex on a decent DAC, if that suits.
Happy to demo (while I still have the digital speakers!) in Bognor Regis, or ship at cost.
A description from the designer:
>"we completely disconnect the clock, DAC, digital and analogue output
> circuitry of the base SqueezeBox, and fit our own designed circuit
> boards, together with state-of-the-art multi-stage voltage regulation.
> To complete the transformation, we add our own linear PSU with a
> multi-core interconnect to power the Player.
>
> In addition to the improvements we've made to the clocks, power
> supplies and analogue outputs, we've also carefully re-designed the
> S/PDIF digital output driver, using a transformer-coupled balanced
> output circuit."
If you're interested in the Meridian gear, I also have a lovely 598DC CD/DVD player
for sale for £250: component video, SDI, and decoded digital audio outputs for front, rear and sub.
But no audio DAC! Original price over £3000, one of the best trasnports Meridian has made -
