Studio monitors distorting

I have a pair of studio monitors connected to an audio interface via a mixer; Computer- audio interface- mixer- speakers
Im trying to play a virtual piano live but the sound keeps distorting ive tried: every volume combination ive tried different audio interface output volumes, different cables ( aux and xlr) ive tried pluggin the speakers into a different power board to the computer but nothing works
Any ideas?

Audio interface: beringer umc404hd
Monitors: Yamaha hs-7
Software: Kontakt 6
Not sure of the mixer name

Have you tried playing a different instrument through the rig to see if that distorts too?
