I'm most likely gonna go Focal, after hearing the 806V with my Exposure 2010S, but maybe I shouldnt rush into it and consider other speakers?

Im willing to 2nd hand and ideally want something relatively easy to drive. The Focals sound very good even at lower levels which is important.

They have to be stand-mounters. I think one reason the Focals sounded so well in my room is the fact they are stand-mounters. Floorstanders may be just too much for my loft.

Like a nice open sound, good soundstage and imaging, good dynamics etc. I cant see there being much out there for £500, but any suggestions welcome.

The 2010S is a fairly powerful amp, but my conclusion is that Neats (now sold) are better off bi-amped, which is why they had to go. Couldnt be arsed waiting round for a power amp to turn up.

my favourites of the moment are Dali standmounts, and the venerable Proac 1Sc.

both worth checking out, but may be out of budget even sec. hand.

PMC LB1's. Do all you want, can be picked up for 400-500 secondhand. They have a good bass response for a standmount and are not overly fussy about placement. I beleive there are some on ebay at the moment.

Second that, they are great little things. I like the treble of the Dali speakers though.
