Hi I'm no electrician but I need some help with a an electrical problem on my boat. I have an electric windlass (the device for pulling up and letting down the anchor) and need to fit a 'double pole change over switch or relay' that can be operated from a remote control. The switch/relay needs to be able to reverse the polarity to the windlass motor via a remote which I have. The sysem is 12v and about 10amp. The remote is a simple UP - DOWN type as used for electric roller doors, cranes etc. My question is - does anyone know of a suitable switch/relay either mechanical or electronic that would do the job? Thanks Chris.
