TacT price drop & launch of new amp

I just noticed that TacT europe have dropped the price of the S2150 to 1,800 Euros which is about £1,270. TacT UK have the amp listed at £2,050 but I'm sure the price will go down once the website is updated. Strangely, though, the M2150 remains priced at 3,221 Euros (£2,271) when the only difference between the two, AFAIK, is the flywheel volume control on the M2150.

With all this talk of PC audio, anyone in the market for a cheap DAC/amp solution for their squeezebox/soundbridge would probably do well to get one of these beasties on a 3 week trial...

And also on the website is a press release on the launch of a new digital amp, the TDA2200. At 3,490 Euros it's priced just above the M2150 but uses a very similar fascia to the RCS 2.2x and sports a higher power output of 200wpc and the DSP engine from the Millennium Mk3 which allows for digital eq and time correction in the amp itself. Looks rather tasty in accuphase stylee champagne finish.

I have a contact at TacT here in the UK so if there are specific questions that can not be answered via their web site/literature then I could possibly get him to answer them,...possibly even join the forum (if he has time).
 
Have sent my contact at TacT an email with a link to this message string so maybe he will get back to me direct or even join up.

One question though; why publish a statement to the forum indicating inside knowledge (have you heard the latest news from TacT), and then when quizzed inform members to PM you????

If you have knowledge of something that should/can not be shared, do not even infer it in the first place!! Otherwise share it.

Where do I indicate inside info ? both he and I have owned/demo'ed Tact stuff
we have an interest,and belong to a news group
simple as that

I simply opted to speak via pm end of story

Ya-Boo, it's you that needs to grow up. I agree with ListeningEar, you're deliberately making this "our little secret" :rolleyes: . If you've got news about TacT that you can legally report in the forum then spill the beans, otherwise don't make silly little hints.

Thanks for the support Michaelab but I really did not want this to turn into an issue of condemnation for you YaBoo, just simply report the legal facts, afterall, isn't that what this forum's about and why you joined?!

We all look forward to reading the TacT information in this message string that you have knowledge of ;)
