When did efficiency have a bearing on 'serious application'.

Does serious application mean using those tube amp things? You know the ones that are like vinyl - for folks of a certain vintage. Maybe in another 20 or 30 years I'll go buy an antique ipod and claim its a serious application.

yes, not my idea of TAD speakers, but for 'that type of design' - e.g. Revel Salon, B&W 802d etc - they are a snip.

Separate company now I believe. Only heard the Ref 1's at shows but they always sounded pretty good, their compression drivers are superb.
