TEAC PD-H300C Reference 300 Series CD Compact Disc Player

I have a TEAC system but the CD player has just stopped working . The drawer opens and closes but the display doesn't come on . Is it worth getting it repaired ? As you might have guessed I dont know very much about audio systems but it had a great sound. It is quite old.Any advice welcomed
