hi,
there's not been one for a while so i was thinking maybe i'd host one in late january or early february to spice up the suicide months. focus would probably be source components as slotting non naim amps into a naim system is a pain ( i have leads and connectors for source din to rca). other than that just bring loads of music.
nothing set in stone as yet, just testing the water so who'd be up for this? - i'm in mid bedfordshire junctions 12 or 13 on the m1.

Need any speakers?

Try to stay clear of the Bristol 'Sound & Vision' Show (20th-22nd February) and preferably not too early in January.
 
i was thinking last week of jan or 1st week of feb (ish). and if you can bring your speakers round i'd love to hear them - even though they are way out of my price range.

editied to add: feb 7th looks ok to me so far.

I might be tempted down out of the cold northern wastes. Just got the the new Quad99 CDP so peeps might be intrested in a listen. If you can settle on a date....when I'm not skiing !
 
i too have something booked for the 24th too (co-inkydink?) and bristol is the 21st so is feb 7th ok? or is 3 fortnights in a row too much? if it is i guess it'll have to be sometime in march.
let me know if the 7th feb is ok and i'll block it out and start arranging things....
zanash, i've heard good things about the quad so i'd love to hear it vs my cd 5.
paul, i've heard kans before on the end of an lp12 / nait 2 and was impressed so i'd also be very interested to hear them get a kicking from a 250.

The Bristol Show is in February.
 
FYI - the Manchester HiFi & Home Cinema Show is happening on the 7th & 8th of February. Don't know if that will affect the bakeoff?

I think this is the shows fourth or 5th year (?). Mostly 2 channel in the past, but home cinema starting to get a bit more coverage this year as well.

i'm in bedfordshire so i sincerely doubt that anyone would be planning to go to both. but if anyone is then i'm still flexible on dates - i suppose i could even push it out to the 1st week in march but i'd rather have it earlier than later.
