I might be a little late to this, but just realised they're making The Hobbit.

It's set to be in two parts released 2011 and 2012.

The Hobbit, based on the novel of the same name by J. R. R. Tolkien, are two films in development for release in December 2011 and December 2012. The films will be directed by Guillermo del Toro, with The Lord of the Rings film trilogy director Peter Jackson serving as executive producer and co-writer. Originally, the first film would have adapted The Hobbit and the second would have bridged the gap between this and The Lord of the Rings, but it is now the director's intention to split and extend The Hobbit over the two films to bring the story right up the beginning of The Lord of the Rings.

I personally don't think that Maguire would be right. I see someone that has that "fantasy" look about them. he has boyish charm written all over him, which doesn't seem right for Bilbo. any of the above mentioned people, however, would all make excellent choices for Bilbo. I just want them to start soon, I need my fix.
