    Hi,

At the moment, the sale of a landmark soul record is taking place. A promo copy of a Motown single from the 60s is up for grabs. This record has already been sold for big money. The current seller paid £15,000 for it around 10 years ago. He has put it up for grabs on a auction site (not Ebay). Word on the street is that it may go for very big money.

It already have a price of £19518

That's real big money, but my opinion is, had he have put it up on ebay, the price could've got higher as the exposure would have been to a wider sector of people.

    Hi,

That single went for £25,742. The site that it was sold on is well known by soul collectors. Alot of the Northern soul collectors look on this site.

The auction got alot of publicity and made a profit for the seller. It may or may not got more on ebay but I think it may not have. Many soul records go for more money on The John Manship site than on ebay. In a number of cases, alot more.
