The National Hi-fi Show ' 10

there you go, they should pay us but they are poles apart from us, heads in their pockets, stilllife goes on,

Just discovered a couple of days ago they are running a shuttle bus service from Milton Keynes Station - price one whole £ :D

I would have thought they would have advertised it by now, so I will do it for them Simon and Rob are in - S14

Thanks Richard. I didn't know Chester Group had updated their website already, I only called them yesterday!

I'll put together a post in the trade announcements section soon. I need to get some other stuff sorted right now though.

How lucky you are to have your HIFI shows .Australia is a hifi desert .Most of the real Stero shops have closed or cut back. but every thing is not lost we have a Milton
Keynes in Tasmania about two men and a dog no HIFI show there. Noel W.

You had Surya Moorthy  what more could you ask for

I tell you what, you sponsor me and I will move the company there tomorrow - I love the place - gods own country is the right name for it, even with Australians living there.

simon, what stuff do you need?

just had mr bird's tariff fees of entry to E.Mcevoy's show £29.00 per person inc. one complimentary drink.

I'm going - my first ever HiFi show - what should I expect?
I only have a very basic system, purchased 15? years ago - Marantz CD player (CD67 to replace my broken 63SE), Arcam Alpha 5 amp and Mission 751 speakers, with iPod dock (recording Lossless of course!) but I'm now beginning to look at ways to improve things...with a very limited budget...

Si

to expect?

things of varying .... I wanted to say performance, but will stick with ''sonic signature'' - with no apparent correlation between sound and price.

quite a few ''one trick pony's''
quite a few plainly outrageous or ridiculous things.
the odd jem.

I will definitely attend. I might even exhibit, not at all certain yet.

Nando, how about sharing the cost of a room? My speakers, your kit?

How about my DAT2, Nando's amplification and your speakers? Plus a few DACs . . . I was toying with the idea of a room share myself . . .

I've decided to fund my own room, thanks. I can see it getting a bit sticky having more than one party trying to show-off their kit.

I think I will be using:

Source
Naim CDX2
Rega P9 with AT cart (please fill in Rob!)
Computer, either my Pocket PC with Spotify and iTunes, or Rob's Mac
AudioSmile DAC and room correction

Amps
Naim NAC282
Naim NAP250

Speakers
AudioSmile Kensai + Advantage (Picture - http://s608.photobucket.com/albums/tt169/tenson_uk/AudioSmile/)
AudioSmile Bespoke Supertweeters
