Tube amp and speaker help please

The floorstanding version is much prettier than the stand mount. Quite similar to Living Voice Avatars with the black plinth and snazzy wood grain.

They also have some form of tweeter / crossover control which might help with positioning.
 
I think active monitors are usually quite good for going close to walls as they often have bass tilt controls for this purpose. Though 15 x 11 doesn't seem that small and I'd have thought any medium floorstander would also work.
