I was recently surprised that my Cyrus does not have a phono input. In the eighties all the amps I knew about (yes I'm old!) had phono inputs. If you were posh and had a moving coil then you would require a pre-amp. What piece of Cyrus kit would I need for my Cryus 8vs 2? allowing me to use my new deck. Any help would be gratefully received.
    Many thanks

You need an external phono stage. You can of course buy the Cyrus phono stage, at what I think is silly money for a phono stage, or anyone else's for more sensible amounts. The Cambridge Audio 651P phono stage is technically as good as it gets, for around £120.
