Valuation of Hi-Fi equipment

I'm hoping someone here can help me. My husband died recently and left a lot of equipment that we now need to sell to settle the estate. Unfortunately we have no idea how much it is worth, can you help us out?

HIFI-Widow, placing them on ebay will give you the best price for them. if you don't have packaging to ship then that may be an issue.

They'll make far more on ebay than anywhere else, any dealer who offers you will just move them on at 50% over what they pay you. Alternatively you could look at one of the commission sales based ebay services.

Or maybe find a friend of the family who could help. Anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay on the day and prices fluctuate greatly.

I'd echo Ebay.

If you google the product, you can get the description from the manufacturers site for Ebay.

Put them up with a seven day auction, with no ''buy it now'' and minimum price of £1.

In my experience, this encourages bids and gives you a higher average selling price.

Yes, but prepared for stuff to go for exactly that....like in my case a pair of stands went for £1.

Its the usual thing, hifi widow, loads of pics help.

If this is for Probate purposes, I suggest you approach a two or three hifi dealers local to you with this prospective list and ask for trade-in values. If you need help finding suitable companies I'm sure http://www.bada.co.uk/ can help.
