Hi all, Thank you in advance if anyone can assist me. I have a brand new Leak 230 amplifier, which has a mind of it's own. Whether I am streaming via bluetooth or playing albums through my turntable (vintage Philips 212), the volume (and the volume dial) just slowly turns down to zero over about 10 seconds. It doesn't happen all the time - only half the time. Randomly. Anyone had this happen before and what's happening? Do I return to manufacturer? Thank you.

    Hi Katie,
    Welcome to the forum.
Never come across this before, and as the amplifier is new, and therefore presumably still under warranty, I would get it replaced. It's clearly faulty. At long range, hard to diagnose, but most likely a fault in the control processor.

Bit out of date but I've had issues with my phone camera and energy saving bulbs being picked up as remote control commands.

joined this forum for this thread after googling.. I saw enough people post that it makes me think it's a bug or somehow not isolated case.

i have this exact issue, it seems to have started a little after I got the amp new.

    Symptoms:
    - when i turn it on it will stay at the right volume
    - adjusting the volume in either direction will then trigger it to "drift" lower volume ever so slowly until its muted (it is moving the knob itself)
    - i have reset all my remotes, i have changed modes. It happens in arc, bluetooth, usb- so assume it happens in any mode (and thus is not a input issue)
    - if i turn it off either hard or soft power button and turn it back on, it will stop drifting again until the volume is adjusted once more
    - it doesnt matter if i adjust by hand with the knob or by external remote, once adjusted it'll drift down
    - sometimes im able to stop it drifting by pressing volume down on the remote, about 30-50% of the time that seems to stop it continuing to drift lower

anyway this makes me think it's possibly a physical knob/mechanical issue but i dont want to open it as its supposed to be under warranty (though we will see what that really means in my location)
