i believe there are few users on here so i was hoping i could pick your brains?
I am seriously considering these, i have read up as much as i can find on the internet but i could just do with some clarification and any comments from those who have used or have experience of them.
my first concern is `is my 35 watt el84 amp suitable to drive them effectively?' i currently use JM lab 906's which are 90dB & 8ohm, my amp drives these with ease. the nominal figures given for the VR-1's arent much diffferent but it has been mentioned that they can present a difficult load 7 prefer more power??..the figures on paper dont suggest that but if anyone can comment it would be much appreciated.
secondly, can anyone describe their tonal character as the reviews i have read do not really give much info in this area.

ive not read a bad thing about them yet. i should maybe just take the plunge.
