those good old days of the "cottage" industry, those great entertaining exevitions, the aficionado's, the pleasure of retail, etc.etc. did or was it avarice "greed" or something more sinister that killed those great days when every one inc families used to look days forward to spend the weekend going to the shows ? or manufacturers killed retail by going direct ? i like to hear your views, :(

    We are still here.
I for one make pure silver hi-fi cables from home. I have also just gone into the final stages of development for a new top plate for the Linn LP12 using local manufacturers. I am also looking at a similar development of a aluminium subchassis for the TT.

    It is alive and kicking.

    Just my 2p worth
